Special Steelfill was developed by ColorFabb and provides a unique application: metal printing.

This filament is filled with physically the highest possible dose of metal powder and the result is astonishing; the 3D print looks like a laser-processed metal object.

By sanding or polishing the object afterwards, the object gets a beautiful shine and the appearance as if the 3D print belongs in a museum.

The object also weighs heavy, as you would expect from a steel object.

Printing with Special Steelfill:

• Print temperature: 195 - 220°C
• Heated bed: 50 - 60°C
• Cooling fan: On
• Flow rate: Experimentally increase a few percent
• Print speed: 40 - 100mm/sec.
• Build plate surface: Glass, Magigoo, Polymide tape, Kapton tape
