Polycarbonate provides strength and PBT provides excellent chemical resistance and resistance to extreme high and low temperatures (- 30 ° C).

PBT is the abbreviation for Polybutylene Terephthalate, a semi-crystalline thermoplastic. PBT is often used in injection molding; PBT is easy to process at low temperatures. That is why PBT is often used as a replacement for, for example, Nylon, PP and ABS, especially when you consider that PBT has excellent chemical and mechanical resistance.

PC-PBT filament is widely used in automotive, public works, electronic and household appliances. PBT is very strong, rigid, dimensionally stable and has excellent tensile strength and PC-PBT also prints quite easily.

PC / PBT is relatively easy to 3D print, provided you take into account the right circumstances for material to 3D print.

Rules for 3D printing with PC-PBT:

• Use a hard steel nozzle such as the P3-D Hercules or Zodiac
• Dry PC-PBT for 2-3 hours at 80 ° C
• Do you want extra strong 3D prints? Then leave the print in the oven for 2 hours at 90 ° C
• Clean your hotend after every print
• Storage tip: You should always store PC-PBT in a resealable bag in a dry environment.
